Honeywell Aerospace was looking for a new way to connect with their customers and drive traffic to their key channel partners while exhibiting at Heli-Expo 2015.
DisplayWorks’ digital team tapped into Honeywell’s new communication strategy targeting the critical mission profiles that define their customer base. Our team developed an interactive, lead generation system that helped to personalize Honeywell’s vast product and service offerings in the helicopter industry to each unique customer profile.
Attendees were greeted by an animated start screen on a 90” monitor featuring a dramatic shot of a helicopter warming up just outside of a hangar. For message recall the artwork matched pre-show communications graphics campaign and asked the question “What’s Your Mission?”. After a quick touch and badge scan, an animated menu appeared that allowed guests to select one of seven missions to personalize the content to their job role – Search & Rescue, Firefighting, Law Enforcement, HEMS, VIP Transport, Oil & Gas, and Military. Once a mission was selected, attendees could browse through quick screens highlighting Honeywell’s offerings that support their missions. Users could request a “Mission Report” which generated an email summarizing the on-screen content that was delivered instantly to their smart phones, along with a show hall map highlighting Honeywell’s channel partners at the expo where attendees could view additional demos and get hands-on interaction with specific Honeywell products and applications.
All attendee data was captured and delivered to Honeywell to help generate enhanced customer profiles and drive strategy during post-show follow-up. To maximize the value of the program over time, and allow for ultimate usability in both tradeshow / event settings and beyond the show floor the app was created to run on a tablet. On the show floor the tablet was mirrored with a 90” monitor providing a dramatic visual in the Honeywell exhibit to attract attendees. It is equally at home running on a tablet in the hands of reps in the field to connect with customers on the road.
