VIZIO was the title sponsor of the 2015 Fiesta Bowl. In addition to major airtime and other promotional activities VIZIO had the opportunity to engage fans on game day with two separate spaces on the grounds of University of Phoenix Stadium.

 

Our activation team went to work concepting ideas to connect with fans in a tailgating mindset before one of the biggest games of the year. The drive would be to generate awareness for VIZIO and capture new customer sign-ups for VIZIO’s Fandemonium Program – a web-based social retail reward systems focused on College Football. DisplayWorks team developed two unique areas for engagement with a different approach for each audience. In the VIP Party area we placed high-end VIZIO televisions in the space with comfortable lounge seating – an ultimate game day prize package was created and fans could enter to win for signing up via iPad kiosks for VIZIO Fandemonium. Brand ambassadors were on hand to mingle with guests and encourage entry to win the prize package.

 

In a separate area for pre-game activities, fans gained entrance for a small fee to a large tailgate area. Here VIZIO had a large tent to welcome fans and give them a chance to interact with fun tailgating games that brought to life tailgating "life hacks" feature in VIZIO’s pre Fiesta Bowl promotions. We staged photo ops for fans to pose in the game day uniforms of the competing teams ARIZONA and BOISE STATE. Face painters were on hand to give fans their "game face" with creative designs in team colors. Fans that took part in two activities and signed-up for VIZIO Fandemonium were given a branded VIZIO seat cushion with our theme line – VIZIO – Best Seat in the House.

 

The engagement and fan activities were a tremendous success and brought fans of both teams together for a fun experience and generated great brand affinity for VIZIO. Sign-up for VIZIO Fandemonium were strong and exceeded the goals for the event.
