Attendees Go “Nuts” for Blue Diamond at 2012 Institute of Food Technologists Annual Expo

The quest to find a tasty and healthy snack option is no longer an impossible feat according to Blue Diamond, the leading supplier of quality almond products worldwide. This “super-food” is quickly becoming a rising superstar, with more fiber, protein and nutrients than any other type of nut. Blue Diamond wanted the world to get better acquainted with the almond and decided that the 2012 Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) Annual Expo was a great place to go “nuts” and do just that. The IFT is where all members of the industry—ingredients, equipment, processing and packaging—gather to display all of the latest global trends as well as show off all of the newest products, tools and techniques of the food trade.

The company’s Global Ingredients Division wanted to make a big impact at this year’s show, and chose DisplayWorks to help them accomplish that task. The company’s desire to increase market recognition as a food ingredient brand, educate potential clients on co-development opportunities, generate qualified leads and cultivate relations with industry press all while staying within the previous year’s budget led Blue Diamond to choose a rental island display from Nomadic and bold lightweight fabric graphics. The exhibit also included tall towers featuring those graphics that could be seen across the showroom floor, shelved lined with almond filled kitchen jars, a large video monitor showcasing Blue Diamond’s new website and semi-private seating areas that encouraged comfortable conversation and interaction with food scientists.

“We chose DisplayWorks because of their level of service was more accommodating to our specific needs,” said Jeff Smith, Director of Marketing for Blue Diamond Almonds Global Ingredients Division. “The exhibit design helped drive more traffic to our booth and enabled us to have multiple discussions simultaneously. DisplayWorks was able to understand our objectives and in turn create what we feel is our best exhibit showcase ever. We received a number of compliments on our dynamic exhibit and presentation.”

The company was so pleased with the results that they integrated the design into the space they shared with their Consumer Division at the SIAL show in Paris earlier this month. DisplayWorks congratulates Blue Diamond on a successful showing at IFT and looks forward to many more creative partnerships in the future.
