SkinMedica exhibits every year at the American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting. In 2012 the event was held in San Diego — the home of SkinMedica — providing the perfect opportunity for the company to serve as a welcome host to their partners and physicians in town for the meeting.
To make the most of the opportunity, SkinMedia worked with DisplayWorks on an integrated exhibit, marketing and event program. The hub of the operations was a beautiful new 20′ x 40′ custom exhibit. Featuring clean lines, modern surfaces and comfortable, casual seating areas, the exhibit was designed to merge the feel of a high-end retail setting with the welcoming elegance of a modern spa environment.
The beauty in this exhibit was more than skin deep. Our digital media team developed custom touchscreens and iPad application that helped to tell the SkinMedica story. These tools helped gather leads and track attendee interests, while giving physicians valuable insight into not only the clinical benefits of SkinMedica products, but also the financial opportunities, with built-in revenue calculators. The individual results of the sample revenue calculator and any product information that guests requested were immediately emailed to them while on the show floor.
To extend the reach of SkinMedica’s program beyond the show, our integrated marketing team produced ads that appeared in the airport, welcoming guests on arrival, as well as bus wraps and taxi runners that were seen throughout the city.
To further extend hospitality to guests in town for the conference, our event team produced a SkinMedica VIP event at San Diego Museum of Contemporary Art. The event theme, promotions and custom invitations helped reinforce SkinMedica’s brand and unique product benefits.
Attendance at the booth was strong, the VIP event was popular, and the number of leads was impressive. In all, the integrated program proved very successful and helped make SkinMedica the shining star of their industry and at their home, in San Diego.
